Class B CDL Jobs
A lot of people will wonder what the big deal with a Class B CDL is all about. Of course, this class of license will give you greater options when it comes to your regular driver's license, allowing you to operate a commercial vehicle as part of your regular employment.

Benefits of a Class B CDL

That is not to say that your Class B CDL must be used strictly for work purposes. To the contrary, since your Class B CDL will allow you to tow loads of no heavier than 11,000 pounds (GVWR), if you own hobby vehicles that you have traditionally had to outsource haulage you can now tackle such tasks on your own.

As well, you will be legally allowed to operate a Class RV. Ever thought of taking your family on a cross-country trip in a rented RV? With a Class B CDL you will now be able to realize this dream (Please note that not all States actively police this requirement, but it is best to err on the side of caution and obtain your Class B CDL if you are looking to operate a Class B RV).

Obtaining a Class B CDL License

If you are looking at getting your Class B CDL, you will typically need to pass State examinations and qualifications. While these will vary by state, they are fairly uniform across the country.

For example, you must been a minimum age requirement, your regular license cannot be suspended or revoked, you must not have been convicted of a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) in the past 24 months.

In addition to meeting these standard minimums, you will need to pay certain fees to your State for your Class B CDL and will also need to prove that you meet the minimum vision and control requirements for such a license.
